You direct it.
The AI builds the world.

On the left, the shot exactly as it came off the phone. On the right, the same shot turned into a series: same person, same pose, same framing, with the whole world repainted. You pick the style, the way a director picks the look of a film. Drag the divider and try it.

◀▶

It's you. Not an avatar that resembles you: your face, your clothes, your gestures, shot after shot.

The lead never changes face. If there's a real person in front of the camera, there's no consistency to maintain.

It's yours. You film it, you decide. You can withdraw permission for your likeness whenever you want.

EP 05 Frequently asked questions 00:20:14:07

Everything you want to know before you join.

The ten questions we get asked most about making AI series, starring in your own one, and what the founding creators list actually gets you.

01

What is FICTARIA?

A streaming platform where nobody buys the catalogue: the people make it. You tell us the series you want to watch — or you film yourself and come out as the lead — and we produce the whole thing: script, shots, voices and music. Real episodes, with a season, a page and a cover of their own. When it's ready it goes into the catalogue and everyone can watch it. This isn't a video app. It's a production studio that fits in your pocket and works for you.

02

Do I need to know about film, writing or editing?

No. And that isn't a marketing line, it's how the product is designed. If you can tell someone what happened to you yesterday, you already have the only thing this takes. The platform asks you what it needs to know — genre, lead, tone, how you want it to sound — and takes care of the rest: framing, editing, pacing, music. The people using it best don't come from film. They come from telling stories around a table.

03

Can I be the lead in my own series?

Yes. And it is by far the most powerful way to use FICTARIA. You film with your phone, with no gear beyond what you already carry, and you come out turned into the character: anime, noir, sci-fi, whatever you pick. Your face, your voice and the way you move, inside a world that doesn't exist. No actors to hire, because the actor is you. No locations to scout, because the AI puts them there. And no lead who changes face between scenes — the problem that sinks almost everything made with AI. If the lead really is you, there's nothing to invent.

04

What if I don't want to be on camera?

Then you write it. You describe the genre and the plot, upload images of how you picture the characters, and the platform asks whatever is missing until it has the full portrait of the series. From there it generates it from scratch. Both ways live in the same place and in the same season: you can write the first one and star in the second.

05

Can this really be a profession?

We think it will be one of the creative professions of the next ten years, and right now it is practically empty. Look at what happened before. Fifteen years ago nobody made a living from video on the internet, and today it's an industry. Three years ago the job of directing AI models didn't exist, and today agencies and production companies hire for it. AI series director is next. It's a real craft, with judgement of its own: knowing which story holds eight episodes, which visual style suits it, how to direct a machine so it gives you what's in your head, and when to tell it no. The tool doesn't do that. You do. The difference with the professions that already exist is that here you aren't late. There's no generation twenty years ahead of you. Whoever starts this year will be the veteran in two.

Who is going to watch my series?

Everyone who opens the catalogue. Your series doesn't sit on your profile waiting for someone to look for it: it goes into the rows of covers next to the rest, with the same chance that somebody hits play. And here's what matters: the more people watch your series, the more you earn. A share of what viewers pay goes straight to the creators of what they are watching. It isn't a prize and it isn't a contest: it's an automatic split that works while you sleep.

I want my stories seen → Reserve a place
07

Are brands interested in this kind of series?

Yes, and it's the part growing fastest. Brands have spent years paying creators for one-off posts that get seen once and disappear. What none of them could commission until now was a series: a real story told across a season, led by someone with an audience of their own. We produce those series, and the leads come from our community of creators. Being inside is being on the casting list. We can't promise you a commission, just as no agency promises that to anyone, but we can tell you that we only call people who are already on the platform and have already shown what they can do.

Isn't this the "AI content" everyone is tired of?

It's a fair question, and the answer is in who signs it. What people reject — with good reason — is AI as the author: content with nobody behind it, made in bulk, that whoever made it doesn't care about. What people have accepted for decades is AI as a tool. Nobody protests about the visual effects in a film or the spell-checker in a word processor. Here the AI doesn't decide the story. You do. And if you film yourself, the face, the voice and the performance belong to a real person: the AI only changes the world around them. On top of that, every series is labelled as generated with artificial intelligence, in the player and in the metadata. We don't hide how it's made, because the point isn't to fool anyone: it's that one person alone can now do what used to take a crew of thirty.

09

What do I need to get started?

A phone and an idea. Nothing else. No camera, no microphone, no powerful computer, no editing software and no need to know how to use one. You film with the phone you already carry and the rest happens on our servers. If you've had a story going round your head for years, you're already ahead of most people.

10

When do you open and how do I get in?

We're finishing the platform and we open by invitation, in small groups, so we can properly look after the first creators. Whoever gets into this first intake will have three things we won't be able to give later: access before anyone else, a direct line to the team to shape the product, and priority when the first brand commissions start going out. Signing up takes twenty seconds and commits you to nothing.
